Justin Cruz Scholarship Foundation

The Foundation

Keeping the spirit alive in the community

Justin Cruz was an amazing person to be around, anyone who knew him would tell you that.

On October 27, 2005 while in an attempt to avoid a deer, his truck lost control and went off the road causing Justin’s death at age 17.

His smile and charisma will never be forgotten by family and friends. Making sure of this, his mother, Michele Cruz, created a scholarship for high school seniors who embody what Justin valued and intended to pursue; playing soccer and attending college, while keeping soccer in their life.

Every year, we hold a fundraiser for the scholarship.  It is a 5k run or a 2-mile walk, at the Wall Municipal Soccer Fields, where Justin spent a majority of his time.

Run for Justin - and keep his memory alive for years to come.

Family, keeping it Jersey Strong

Warren and Michele decided the best way to keep the memory and spirit of their son alive would be to create a foundation in his name.

Without the support of their children (Ashley and Jordan), their partners and the countless other family and friends, bringing this foundation to life and keeping it existing would have been harder than imagined.
